Manchester's heavy rainfall demands proper drainage planning.
We build correct falls, install channel drains, and ensure compliance with UK regulations, so water flows away from your property, not towards it.
Every driveway over 5m² gets a fully compliant drainage system included as standard.
Not sure which surface suits your needs?
We install all three main driveway types and give honest advice about which works best for your budget, property style, and parking requirements.
From traditional block paving to modern resin finishes—we handle it all in-house with no subcontractors.
80% of driveway problems trace back to poor groundwork.
We excavate to the correct depth, install MOT Type 1 sub-base, and compact in layers.
Your driveway gets the same foundation we'd build for ourselves. meaning decades of use, not years of repairs and subsidence issues.
A crumbling driveway that floods every time it rains. Cracks that grow wider each winter.
Or perhaps you're simply tired of fighting for street parking while your front garden sits unused.
Whether you're replacing a failed driveway or installing a new one where grass currently grows, getting it right from the start saves thousands in future repairs and immediately adds value to your home.

We build driveways that handle Manchester's weather and last for decades. Kieran oversees every project personally, ensuring the same attention to detail whether you're choosing budget-friendly tarmac or premium resin surfacing.
We work with all three main driveway surfaces—block paving, resin bound, and tarmac—and install the correct sub-base and drainage system for each. Unlike contractors who rush the groundwork to move onto the next job, we take the time to excavate properly, compact thoroughly, and build in drainage that actually works.
Site survey and drainage assessment with gradient planning
Full excavation and MOT Type 1 sub-base installation (minimum 150mm compacted)
Channel drains, soakaways, or connection to existing drainage
Professional installation of your chosen surface material
Edging and kerbing to contain your driveway and prevent edge failure
Complete clean-up and waste removal included
Highly customizable with patterns and colors, individual blocks can be replaced if damaged, permeable options available for drainage, typically lasts 20-25 years with proper maintenance
Permeable surface allows water drainage through material, smooth finish with no weed growth, wide color and aggregate choices, low maintenance requirements, quick installation (2-5 days typically
Most cost-effective option, quick installation (1-3 days), durable and long-lasting (12-20 years), smooth surface easy to sweep and maintain, can handle heavy vehicle loads.
Kieran visits your property to assess drainage requirements, measure accurately, and discuss material options.
We check existing drainage, test ground conditions, and design proper falls to direct water away from your home. You'll see exactly what we're quoting for.

We excavate to the correct depth (typically 200-250mm), removing all unsuitable material.
MOT Type 1 hardcore goes down in 75mm layers, with each layer compacted using a vibrating plate.
This creates the stable foundation that prevents future subsidence. All drainage channels and soakaways are installed at this stage.
Your chosen material is installed to manufacturer specifications.
Block paving is laid on sharp sand with correct falls, resin is mixed and applied over prepared base, tarmac is laid in two courses for durability.
Every installation includes proper edging to prevent edge failure and contain the driveway structure.

We point block paving joints with kiln-dried sand, seal resin surfaces if specified, and ensure all drainage works correctly.
A final clean-up leaves your property tidy, and we walk you through maintenance requirements for your specific surface type.
You get care instructions and our contact details for any future questions.

Most driveways take 3-7 days to complete depending on size and material choice. Block paving takes longer than tarmac due to the individual laying process. We'll give you a realistic timeframe during your site survey and keep you updated throughout.
If your driveway is over 5m² and uses non-permeable materials (tarmac, concrete, standard block paving), you'll need planning permission unless you install proper drainage to a soakaway or existing system. We ensure all our installations comply with UK regulations and handle drainage requirements as standard.
All three materials work well with correct drainage installation. Resin and permeable block paving offer built-in drainage, while tarmac requires separate drainage channels. The choice depends more on your budget and aesthetic preferences—we'll advise honestly based on your specific property.
Properly installed driveways with correct sub-base and drainage shouldn't crack from frost. Cracks occur when water gets into the sub-base and freezes—which is why we focus so heavily on groundwork and drainage from the start.
We handle challenging access regularly in Manchester's terraced streets. Materials can be transported through properties in smaller loads if needed, though this does increase labor time and cost. We'll assess your specific access during the site survey.
Block paving needs re-sanding joints every 2-3 years and occasional weed treatment. Resin requires power washing annually. Tarmac needs sealing every 3-5 years. We provide specific maintenance instructions for your chosen material during handover.
We install channel drains at property thresholds, French drains where subsurface drainage is needed, soakaways for water dispersal, and we connect to existing drainage systems where appropriate. Every installation includes proper falls (gradient) to direct water away from buildings.
We can often match or complement existing paving for extensions or repairs. Bring photos to your survey appointment, and we'll source the closest available match. Bear in mind that weathered paving may have color differences initially.
We are generally booked out for around 4-6 weeks. This gives us enough time to design the perfect garden and organise delivery of materials etc.
